Conversations on marriage and committed relationships

All is well . . .

I’m amazed at the little things that can make a difference in a marriage.

A simple rule to say hello and goodbye, no matter what mood you’re in, has reinvigorated ours.

I wish I could say that I always knew how to leave work at work or not take home the ramblings of my mind during my car ride home but there are moments when I just walk in the door frustrated at life, my limitations, pretty much everything. Having Kelly say something as simple as “Hey, ya gonna kiss me hello?” when I walk in the door, can bring me back to what’s really important and what I really care about. Even if it doesn’t happen right away, the momentum of my downward spiral is slowed and I can alter my path, even for a moment.

It’s funny, even a simple, “What’s up baby?” reminds me that someone else does care and despite what I might think at any given moment, I don’t have to go it alone.

My husband is the gift, but if I have to say only one thing I appreciate deeply about him is his ability to laugh.

He has a lightness of spirit that soothes and reminds me that not everything is life or death. A laugh or smile is never more than a minute away when I’m with him. That joy has changed my life for the better.

    Love the site, Grace

Congrats Grace for getting this site up and running. I have already shared this site with two other friends who were impressed by the idea of reading/participating. One friend is looking to find love. The other is going through a difficult time.

I am especially excited to participate as a gay man in a loving awesome realtionship that took me 45 years to accomplish! I know I am madly, wickedly, digustingly in love because I even love “what’s not to love” about my David! Can U imagine? I wish that was so for everyone I know. In my world It’s a wonderful place to be. Questions anyone? Leave a comment, and I will get back to you.

So for those readers who aint in love but want to be, don’t give up. For those who are in a relationship, but think they are not in love, this site should provide some good reading and insight! More to come…………. XOXOX Thom
