About Us
The seeds of Me2Wee! were planted at a conference in California, when two women who had never met face to face shared a hotel room for a weekend. With very different life situations, the two realized how similar they felt in dealing with their life partners.
Over the weekend they asked themselves this about their married friends:
- Why did they just stop talking about their relationship once they were married, even though hours of conversations were spent on finding the “one” (is he the “one”, what you need to be the “one”, etc.)?
- Why did they seldom share insights about their marriage?
- When they did share about their marriage, it was about what was not working and whose fault it was, or simply the announcement of another divorce amongst our friends and family.
Where was the community support? Where was the wisdom to assure us “that it was exactly the way it’s supposed to be?”
Today, Grace and Mary K birth Me2Wee! We are creating a place where people can talk about their marriages and committed relationship. What makes your marriage and committed relationship work and what makes it suck sometimes, what makes you stay…or not. We want to bring some joy to the journey and play with the conversation, with the intention of supporting the fulfillment and success of marriage and committed relationships.
Our power on Me2Wee! is not as experts, but in the community we hope to gather. Our community is made up of anyone thinking about being in a committed relationship, in one, on their way out of a committed relationship or swearing off them! We hope you can see yourself here. Since “every person is an expert on the circumstances of his life” (Joseph Lelyveld), you have your stories to share to add to this conversation and maybe help someone in their marriage.
